Koa Wāhine: Rise to the Warrior Within - Retreat Dates: May 21st - May 24th, 2026

Sunset Welcome Pūpū Dinner – Thursday, May 21st 2026

5:00 pm – 8:00 pm

Join us for an unforgettable evening as we kick off our retreat with a vibrant Sunset PūPū Welcome Reception! Guests will gather at the Grand Naniloa and savor ono pūpūs, meet your fellow koa wāhine under the beautiful Hilo sunset, and get ready to rise to the warrior within!

A Summary of the Retreat Classes – Friday, May 22nd through Sunday, May 24th, 2026

Kumu Manu will present from a Koa Wahine Lua perspective–physical and energetic. Wāhine will learn about personal warrior sovereignty as field and weapon, infecting systems with feminine law and disruption, connection with Elemental Spirits, warrior art of Lua, strangling cord Ka’ane, warrior massage Lualomi, Lā‘au Lapa‘au and warrior use of poisons, warrior manipulation of mana and camouflage, warrior health hierarchy, warrior basics in nervous system and health.

Kumu Kekuhi Kane Kanahele Keali’ikanaka’olehaililani will center on ʻoli as a living technology of connection—between wahine, mana, Akua, and story. ʻOli in its rightful place as embodied, relational, and alive rather than performative or intellectualized. Wāhine will understand why ʻoli is structured the way it is and begin to experience themselves as legitimate storytellers within that structure. Kumu will move wāhine from: Hua (seed) → ignition → expression → integration.

Together, Kumu Kekuhi and Kumu Manu will integrate the learnings by intentionally weaving ‘Oli, Hula/Ha’a, Lua, Lualomi, Pohihihi, Leo/Voice, Ho’opa/touch, and movement (combat and healing), and La’i/stillness.

Full retreat schedule and detailed descriptions will be provided only at the time of registration. Advanced traditions are taught progressively and require completion of foundational work. Enrollment in pre-requisite requirements are enforced, particularly for hands‑on modalities. This approach protects what is being shared, those receiving it, and the broader cultural context from which it comes.

*Peaceful gatekeeping protects sacred knowledge and avoids theft. The full retreat schedule is not publicly disclosed out of respect for cultural integrity, lineage, participant safety, detailed curricula, schedules, and advanced practices.
