ABOUT KOA WĀHINE RETREATS
Beloved Koa Wāhine,
The Koa Wāhine Foundation exists to restore often-forgotten roles of wāhine: not only as nurturers, but as protectors, leaders, and stewards of themselves and their families, communities, and culture.
Drawing from ancient Hawaiian principles, Lua, the traditional Hawaiian warrior art, and ancestral and modern knowledge, we guide wāhine toward personal sovereignty: reclaiming authority over their body, voice, spirit, and way of life.
Through this work, women are invited to awaken the Koa Wāhine within, not through aggression, but through presence, responsibility, intention, and service. We believe that when wāhine remember they are both nurturers and protectors, they strengthen not only themselves, but their families, communities, and ultimately the lāhui.
By cultivating sovereign women, we help restore relationships, healthier communities, and a stronger future for generations to come.
Our Intention
We gather to:
- Strengthen sovereignty without domination.
- Restore power without harm.
- Remember the feminine as law, intelligence, and strategy.
- Walk forward carrying protection for ourselves, our people, and what we love.
By stepping into this space, you are contributing to a lineage of women who know how to hold, disrupt, heal, and defend—with precision and integrity.
